The humble Buffalo Wing; Today, it represents Game Day, Friday nights and, delightfully, simply just the holidays. But, before 1964, as the tale goes, this All-American snack didn’t even exist!

According to some, in that year, 1964, the owners of Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York, were faced with the arrival of their son, Dominic, and a group of his rowdy friends. With the bar set to close for the night, Teresa Bellissimo was forced to improvise. A batch of previously unwanted chicken wings, a deep fryer, and some local hot sauce later, and the first ever bowl of delicious Buffalo Wings was served!

Created lovingly and with both eye very much on keeping collecting fun, this 99.9% pure silver collector coin is shaped just like a buffalo wing, and is even brightly coloured just as a wing should be. Brilliantly minted, you can even see the crispy skin bubbles on the surface of this deep fried precious metal collectable.

Limited to just 999 ever to be made, the Buffalo Wing 60th Anniversary coin measures 44mm in length and is housed in a sturdy, fun presentation folder.
